This is the Club Event Calendar which allows you to search for specific races, such as the Club Championships, Surrey League, MABAC and other races where there is normally a good turn out from Runnymede Runners.
This months improvers championship parkrun is Hanworth, on the site of the former airpark
I cant guarantee that there will be a large Zeppelin present on the field as this photo from the 1930’s shows, although i’m sure Mark Leach can give you his eye witness account from when he lived in Hanworth back in the day.
Its a small parkrun (as in 40-50 runners per week) but enthusiastic volunteers
A two lap (and a bit) circuit mostly on grass but also on cinder paths
When dry as its totally flat, its generally recognised as a faster parkrun (in my experience about 20-30 seconds faster than Bedfont)
There is no designated parking so you’ll have to park on the surrounding roads (Forest road near the start) or Hounslow road car park. There are no toilets either but you can use the leisure centre ones if you ask nicely.
If there has been significant rainfall before the date then we may choose a a different course with more tarmac.
